One of the unique initiatives that the Miss America Opportunity embraces is the Little Sister mentorship program. In the state of Arkansas, our local preliminary titleholders may adopt up to four Arkansas Diamonds that will spend the week with them at Miss Arkansas and Miss Arkansas' Teen. Each Diamond will spend hours rehearsing, performing, and most importantly, bonding with their titleholder and other Diamond's.

Back in December, the Miss Arkansas Valley & Johnson County team met in Rison, AR to spend the day with the WONDERFUL Michelle Roberts and Shawna Hobson. For those that are not active members of the "pageant world," keeping track of the many different national, state, and local systems can be a lot. The Miss Arkansas Valley & Johnson County Organization is a foundational piece of the Miss America Organization. The Miss America system alone has an extensive structure that requires the dedication of hundreds of volunteers across the United States and Puerto Rico.
One of the long-standing beliefs of the Miss America Organization is that each point of the crown represents a characteristic that a titleholder should embody. Style, scholarship, service and success are the four foundational elements that, in my opinion, make the Miss America Opportunity unique and not your typical "beauty pageant." In more recent years, titleholders across the nation have also started including the "circle" of sisterhood as a fifth element.
Miss Arkansas Valley has dedicated her entire adulthood to her Community Service Initiative: Project Pack & Stack. Learn more about her efforts below!
