Lottery Day

One of the most exciting events leading to the week of Miss Arkansas and Miss Arkansas' Teen is Lottery Day! This is the process that the titleholders go through to select their competition line-up and phase of competition order.

We love being able to provide insight to our titleholders preparation, and often face curiosity about the inner workings of this process. Keep reading to learn more! 

Each titleholder joins a single Zoom call lead by the state Executive Director and state titleholder. The three titleholders that sold the most advertisements for the state program book, go first in making their selections. The remaining names are placed in a wheel randomizer. The wheel is spun, and the name that appears is the next titleholder to unmute and select their position in the grid. 

A lot of titleholders consider the order in which they will compete in the phases to be the major factor in their decision. However, most use a combination of different strategies to make their selection. You will see the completed grids for the 2025 class below, along with their phase of competition line-up.
