Meet the Diamonds: Miss Arkansas Valley's Teen

One of the unique initiatives that the Miss America Opportunity embraces is the Little Sister mentorship program. In the state of Arkansas, our local preliminary titleholders may adopt up to four Arkansas Diamonds that will spend the week with them at Miss Arkansas and Miss Arkansas' Teen.  Each Diamond will spend hours rehearsing, performing, and most importantly, bonding with their titleholder and other Diamond's. 

Miss Arkansas Valley's Teen, Makayla Harrell, is blessed with three beautiful and talented young girls that she is mentoring and will grace the stage with her at Miss Arkansas' Teen in June 2025. Read more to get to know a bit more about each of her Diamond's!

Faith Padgett

Faith is 11 years old. She enjoys going to Starbucks and eating Hershey's chocolate. She enjoys swimming, skating, drawing, singing and baton twirling. Her aspirations include working in law enforcement one day. 

Two fun facts about Faith: This is her second year at Miss Arkansas' Teen with Makayla and she is currently learning to speak French!

Kadence Bates

Kadence is 8 years old. She loves caramel chocolates and the color pink. She enjoys competitive dance, math and all things self-care. 

In her free time she likes to play Fortnite, go to the park, and swim. One day, Kadence hopes to be a teacher. 

Susie Streett

Susie is 11 years old. She loves the color pink and anything with sparkles. Her favorite food is watermelon, and she loves sour candy. 

One day, Susie would love to open her own bakery. She loves to dance, sing and horseback ride. 

A fun fact about Susie: She is the Peach Festival's reigning Pre-Teen Peach!
